DIY Bug Repellent Candle Jar

Ingredients:
- – 6 (4 oz) glass jars
- – 2 lemons
- – 2 limes
- – Fresh rosemary sprigs
- – Water
- – 10 to 15 drops of lemongrass essential oil or citronella essential oil per jar
- – Tea light candles or floating candles (1 per jar)
Directions:
1. Begin by slicing the lemons and limes into thick, juicy rounds. This adds a great touch to your candles!
2. Place a slice of lemon at the bottom of each jar and then add a slice of lime on top for an extra citrusy zing.
3. Toss a sprig of fresh rosemary into each jar for a delightful herbal aroma.
4. Carefully fill each jar with water, leaving a little space at the top for the candle to float.
5. Drip in 10 to 15 drops of either lemongrass or citronella essential oil into each jar.
6. Gently float a tea light or floating candle on top of the water.
7. When the time comes, and the sun sets, light the candle and enjoy a bug-free evening under the stars!
Tips & Variations:
– To create a more decorative touch, you can add decorative stones or colored sand at the bottom of the jars before adding the lemon and lime slices.
– For a stronger scent, consider using a combination of essential oils, like eucalyptus or peppermint, along with the lemongrass or citronella.
