Ingredients:
- Sea shells
- Small pebbles
- Seaweed
- Beads
- Sea glass
- Colored craft sand
- Gorilla Glue Clear
- Small glass jar
- Wooden skewers
- Old small paintbrush
Directions:
1. Begin by preparing your jar. Paint the bottom area of the inside of the jar with Gorilla Glue, making sure to leave the neck of the jar uncovered.
2. Pour in blue craft sand into the jar, then shake gently to coat the glue. Once coated, pour out the excess sand and let it dry for about 30 minutes.
3. Next, paint the neck of the jar with Gorilla Glue. Pour in yellow craft sand, shake to ensure it coats the glue, and then pour out the excess. Allow it to dry completely.
4. Prepare the jar lid by applying Gorilla Glue over the inside surface. Avoid the edge by leaving a small gap. Cover this area with yellow sand and let it dry for approximately 30 minutes.
5. Now, use the paintbrush to create seaweed shapes above the blue sand using more Gorilla Glue. Fill in this area with green sand, shake to ensure an even coat, then pour out any excess sand. Let it dry for a couple of hours.
6. Rinse the inside of the jar with water to remove any loose sand that may not be secured by the glue. Allow it to dry completely before proceeding.
7. Use Gorilla Glue to create a centerpiece in the middle of the jar. Work in stages to allow the glue to set in between each layer or addition.
8. Carefully use the wooden skewers to place glue on the interior sides of the jar and arrange your sea shells and beads inside. Work on one side at a time to ensure everything stays in place.
9. Once you are satisfied with the arrangement and everything has set, secure the lid back onto the jar.
Tips and Variations:
– Consider adding small plastic marine figurines to enhance the underwater effect and make your aquarium more lively.
– You can use different colors of sand to create a gradient effect at the bottom of the jar, giving a more dynamic look to your aquarium.
